Surefire’s history dates back to 1969, when a PhD from Cal Tech decided lasers were THE product for the future. Since he, PhD John Matthews, had an interest in shooting, he mounted a laser on a handgun using it to assist his aim. It worked; exceeding all expectations. After lasers came products using less amplified light and today the lasers and lights are accompanied with IR-lights, silencers, muzzle breaks, flash hiders, hi-cap magazines and hearing protecting – all trusted by operatives around the globe.
